Paragon and Global Voyages Indonesia Collaborate to Host Voluntourism Batch 2 in Teluk Asmara

Malang, Indonesia – (11/05/2023) – Global Voyages Indonesia once again held beach clean-up event with Voluntourism Batch 2 at Teluk Asmara Beach. This Clean Up the Beach event was a collaboration with Paragon Indonesia. This partnership highlights the commitment of both organizations to supporting environmental awareness. Paragon Indonesia also provided waste management facilities, ensuring an even more seamless beach clean-up process.
Joined by 50 Indonesian and international student volunteers, the Voluntourism Batch 2 received support from Indonesia’s Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno. Although he couldn't attend the event in person, Sandiaga Uno expressed his support and appreciation through a video message that was shown at the opening ceremony.
"This program is excellent as it encourages youth participants by combining volunteering and tourism, or voluntourism, for tourism development. Youth should be the driving force of development, and this program helps achieve that," said Sandiaga Uno in his video speech.
The beach clean-up activity also lasted for two days and one night. Teluk Asmara Beach was chosen for this event because of its beauty that is not less than Raja Ampat in Papua. Teluk Asmara Beach has the potential to be Malang's premier destination and its natural beauty needs to be preserved. With the increasing number of visitors to Teluk Asmara Beach, this event aims to raise public awareness about maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
